As wedding photographers we see many officiants on a regular basis. Mary is DEFINITELY our favourite, so hiring her for our own wedding was a no-brainer. Customizing our ceremony was so easy — as soon as she gets a feel for the kind of people you are she’s able to give lots of options for use in your ceremony, and she performs it with warmth and LOVE. Mary was SO easy-going and gave us all the help and creative control we needed to put together the perfect ceremony for us.

Mary was outstanding. She really took the time to get to know us and listened to everything we said and that was reflected so beautifully in the ceremony. My husband and I are from very different cultures and religious backgrounds and she made wonderful suggestions to incorporate pieces of both and she blended it all so well. All of our guests (and us!!) commented on how beautiful and meaningful the ceremony was – that was all Mary. She is so loving, sweet and unimposing. Throughout the entire process (from the first meeting to the wedding), she let us shine – she even stood to the side and had us face our guests during the ceremony. She really emphasized that it was all about us. Having said that, our wedding was made so much more special because of Mary – her style, her words, her gentle nature and professionalism are second to none. It was as if we knew her all our lives and we asked her to officiate as a dear friend. She has such depth of intuition that it took her no time at all to understand what was important to us.        Mary was absolutely amazing! We planned our wedding in 13 days and Mary was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the process. Even though we only had 13 days to plan everything we still wanted to write our own vows. Mary provided us with some readings and vow samples that really helped us to get the ball rolling.
       Mary has an exceptional ability to roll with the punches while maintaining a positive and calming energy. On the day of our wedding the weather set our ceremony back several hours. Mary was completely flexible with the time change and her relaxed attitude surrounding the change calmed us down as well.
       Mary’s ceremony was beautifully written and her delivery was heartfelt and genuine. It was obvious to us that Mary puts a lot of love and care into her work. I couldn’t not think of a better person than Mary to have played this integral role in our day.
        A month or two following the wedding we received a hand written card from Mary along with my husbands hand written vows. I thought this was above and beyond and was very touched by her thoughtfulness.

Mary came into our lives after our previous officiant had a scheduling conflict 2 weeks before the wedding. She swooped in by recommendation of a friend and immediately set our panic at ease with her warm spirit and grounded radiating confidence. Her approach to writing the ceremony was collaborative so we had ample back-and-forth to add in our specific spiritual traditions while also taking guidance from her experience as an officiant. On the day of our wedding Mary was a calm and joyful presence before and during the ceremony – even hearing the tone and cadence of her voice set our nerves at ease.
